The DDE Range Fill Utility provides an easy way of generating DDE links to quote vendors in your
Excel spreadsheets. The output of the Utility is the same as that of the Symbol Wizard utility. In order to use the Range Fill, first create a table with the name of the quote vendor placed in the upper
left-hand corner and the list of qualifiers along the same row and the list of
symbols down the same column. Here's an example of a valid table :
If a quote vendor is not specified you will be prompted by a dialog box for
the desired quote vendor. When this happens the quote vendor's name will be
placed in the upper left-hand corner for you. If any of the qualifiers listed are
not valid, the column will be filled with the invalid qualifier followed by a
question mark. The Range Fill utility does not check the validity of the symbols
you give, if they are not valid, the links will be valid, however they will not
return any information.
This Utility is particularly helpful for making quick changes to large tables
previously generated with the Symbol Wizard utility.
